Brian Edward Cox, OBE (born 3rd March 1968) is a Professor of Particle Physics in the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, School of Natural Sciences, University of Manchester. He is also one of the most recognized science communicators of mainstream audience all over the world. Brian is also the first Crick Scholar at the Francis Crick Institute, appointed in August 2025. The role of the Crick Scholars is to educate a new generation of science communicators to communicate with the mainstream audience and make complex science accessible to everyone.
